Commercial Fire Alarm Companies and Contractors

The State of Massachusetts Department of Electrical Examiners has licensed Fire Alarm Companies and Contractors specifically for alarm systems, however, the State has grandfathered standard electricians to do the same work. The significance between the two is the Fire Alarm license renewal training is limited to alarm systems, while standard electricians are required to attend the same amount of hours of renewal training, but must cover many other subjects in the same amount of time. Other companies and contractors may or may not get the proper education outside what is required. Simply put, there are different levels of expertise in the fire alarm industry.

DB Systems is licensed and specifically trained for Fire Alarm System Design, Installation and Service. These systems are installed and maintained according to applicable codes with properly rated equipment, wire, interfacing and supervision devices.

Be Aware that the State of Massachusetts Building Code and Massachusetts Fire Prevention Regulations has strict requirements on detector functionality and locations.
